Near the Water.

Well it continues warm and sunny. This morning we walked at North Oakley. As we wandered along the banks of the stream we saw so many little damselflies flitting around like little jewels. They ars so pretty as the sunlightcatches them.
Late afternoon we went down to Slufters pond. The waer levels are going right down now and Missy had to wade quite away out before she could swim. Even Raffles was able to get to the island and he doesn't swim.

An early morning walk at Ashurst.

This morning I took Missy to meet Karen and Taivas at Ashurst, a village on the edge of the forest.
We met at 7.30 am and all ready it was warm and humid are some overnight storms. We walked through Churchplace Enclosure and eventually got to the River. Two Labs and a little Westie were there before us and they all played in the river. The Labs and Missy swam after sticks.....Missy was always the fastest but they all had fun. We took a different route back through the enclosure. There were a lot of butterflies fluttering around and at one stage a little Roe deer skipped across the path. By the time we got back to the car it was very muggy and although the sun was hidden by clouds it was very hot.

Open the gate and lets go for a walk. Posted by Picasa

The hot days are still here.

We went back to the Lake at Andrews Mare again tonight. Lots of dogs there when we first arrived ,but by the time we left only Bentley remained. We had already had our walk but we played with Bentley for a while before leaving the setting sun sinking into the lake as we walked back to the car. Weather forecast is for still more hot days so I think we may be visiting the lake again soon.
