A Sunny Afternoon
We were going to walk at Slufters pond this afternoon, but when we got there they were doing a controlled burn and this meant it was rather smokey.During the winter months areas of the forest are burnt to control the growth of bracken and gorse which would otherwise take over the forest. We drove on to Canadian Cross. At first it was chilly as we walked through the trees but once we got out into the open it was very pleasant walking in the sun. In the distance we could see a group of deer but they were too far away to get the attention of the dogs. The dogs all had a quick dip in the pond but Raffles favourite occupation here is chasing the bunnies!
What a great and fun walk! Raffles and Missy are very lucky, they are loose and can dip in the pond and chasing the bunnies! Here where I live Flora don't can be loose. She is always walking with leash.
