An Autumn visit to Exbury Gardens.

Exbury gardens are the Home of Lord Rothschilde and they are situated on the banks of the River Beaulieu at the edge of the New Forest We visited them in June when Mattie was here, we were given tickets to return in the autumn for free. After several nights of heavy frost some of the plants had suffered but there was still alot of colour and some of the shrubs still had flowers. it was another beautiful autumn day and we spent several hours walking around. I took many photos and I will save some to show you on a rainy day.

Colour at Exbury

Today we went back to Exbury Gardens to see the autumn colours. When we went in May they gave us free tickets to return in October. We had a lovely walk around the gardens with the dogs. The sun peeped out occasionally. The colours were really beautiful, lots of reds and golds.

Because it is Halloween weekend there were lots of little witches and ghosts running around. The little steam train was taking the children on a Halloween trip around the gardens and we met some strange looking characters along the railway track.

Tonight we put the clocks back an hour so tomorrow it will be getting dark by Five O clock. Posted by Picasa
