The end of another weekend.

Bob has been away in Crete this week so we met Gill and Dora on Saturday and walked at Canadian Cross. it was dull but it stayed dry. Recent rain has started to fill the pond here but it is not deep enough for swimming yet. We met Bentley the golden retriever and all the dogs had a play. We haven't seen him for a while so we had a little chat before coming home.

On Sunday Gill went to the airport to collect Bob and we collected Dora and walked at S Bentley.The Bucks are still roaring and we saw several deer but not near enough to photograph. The heavy rain that was forecast has not arrived yet and we had a sunny walk. Bob's flight has been delayed so Dora has come home with us and hopefully Bob and Gill will remember to stop by and pick her up on their way home.

Wind, Rain and Sun

It felt much more like autumn today. When we got up it was raining but by the time we came to walk at telegraph the sun was out. A brisk wind was blowing but we had a pleasant walk. The rain meant that the little stream was flowing again and on the heath at Telegraph there were some large puddles for the dogs to play in. Missy found a large bone in the woods but she soon left it to play with her ball.

This afternoon we walked at Fritham, leaving home the sun was shining but as soon as we left the cars at Fritham the rain came. It poured and a gale force wind nearly blew us over. We were glad to get in the shelter of the valley, but as we climbed up the hill the sun came out and then went in again whilst another shower damped us down. By the time we were back at the cars the sun had come out again and the wind had dropped a little. Much more like autumn!
