July a mixed bag

At the beginning of July it seemed unseasonally cold in the forest, and the skies were dull, since then we have had very mixed weather but today it is hot and sunny. We spent some time down by the stream this morning watching the Damselflies dart in and out . They are such pretty insects but so difficult to capture on camera as they move so fast. The dogs did not mind us watching the flies as they were playing in the stream.
In the garden the tubs of Livingstone daisies are in flower and whilst the sun is out they glow with colour but when the sun goes in the flowers fold up tight.
