Fritham in the winter sun.
Today it is cold but the sun is shining and we soon get warm as we walk at Fritham. First we walked down to the stream . On the way a small group of ponies suddenly charge across the path, we do not know what spooked them. We decide to cross the stream and walk along to the bridge. They have raised the footpath here so we can get across the bog. There is ice on the stream and we keep the dogs out, but they are happy playing on the paths and in the dead bracken. Missy found the spine of a long dead deer but we were able to distract her with her ball and continue our walk. As we walked along the ridge back to the car the sun was setting behind us and the sky was turning gold and pink. By the time we got back to the cars the sun had nearly gone and it was very chilly. In the half hour it took to drive home the light had gone.
