Fungal Foray

We walked at Pigbush this morning and after anight of heavy rain there were puddles everywhere. Whilst we were walking it was warm and sunny still shirt sleeve weather. Now with some rain the fungi are appearing everywhere and we saw several different sorts.

weve had mushies blooming in the garden too with all the rain lately. How do you know about all these different mushies? Have you had any of those pretty red and white dot mushies this year? - I call them fairy mushrooms because my ornament fairy collection seems to always pose with them.

I try to identify them from books when I get home, and the common ones I know . it is a little early for the Fly agarics to appear yet but I am looking out for them!
