Mary are you allowed to feed the ponies in the forest - like carrots or apples?
You are not suppose to feed the ponies as it encourages them to stay near the car parks and people. This means they will be near the roads and sadly 30 or so ponies are kileed each year.
However there are crab apple trees in the forest so they do get apples and in the winter sometimes you see carrots and apples put out for them.
