Raffles looks a little surprised to see such a clear reflection of the bridge.

A white pony stand on ragged Boys Hill.

Holly Hatch Cottage is a keepers cottage right in the middle of the forest.

Hello again Mary - Holly hatch cottage looks lovely and the white pony is one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen, but I think all the photos of the dogs are beautiful too. You have a lot of ponies there - is it a pony farm near where you live??? Sorry, I should know this, but don't.

The New Forest Ponies are semi wild and range throughout the Forest (They are a recognised breed of pony)(about 3000 of them)Technically they belong to the commoners and some foals are sold for childrens riding ponies. However many live their lives out on the forest untamed. The stallions are put out on the forest early spring but are taken off in the winter. The first foals will be appearing soon.

Thanks Mary- for explaining how you have so many ponies there. They really give you beautiful subjects to photo along with the dogs (in the muddy pond also!!). I still visit here every day like so many do.
