Blashford Lakes

We had another trip to the Lakes today. Yesterday it rain most of the day and then this morning the sun was back. it did hide behind some rather black clouds for a while before returning, but it stayed dry.
There is always something to see at the Lakes and today we saw our Longtailed tits there. The Nuthatch was seen several times but I never managed a decent photo. I was very pleased that a pair of greater spotted woodpeckers were near enough to get even if they are a little obscured by the trees. The pheasant brought his wife and daughter today,( the first time we had seen the females here). There were also plenty of squirrels, bunnies and a little mouse.
The lakes had lots of coots and in the distance some cormorants. I think this is a pochard.
