It was a beautiful mild sunny day and the carparks in the forest were very busy. However we chose to walk of the beaten track and we were able to enjoy a quiet walk only seeing the odd person in the distance. The path we chose came to a little gate that looked as if it hadn't been used for years and the path itself was very overgrown. A deer skipped across the path but was soon gone and we enjoyed looking at the different fungi and admiring the changing leaves as the sunlight caught them.A Forest diary.
