I looked for the little hedgehog this morning after Jan from Down Yonder had told me she thought he might be sick. I couldn't see any sign of him so i was surprised when i came home this afternoon to find him back on the doorstep! So I carefully picked him up and put him in a box with some softened dog food until Graham from hedgehog rescue came and picked him up.
Apparently he is rather thin and this is because the baby hogs are having trouble finding enough to eat in our cold wet summer. Anyway he has gone to be looked after and fattened up before being released into the Forest.
