After a rather damp drizzly day yesterday, today was bright, warm and sunny.
We walked the dogs at Busketts in the morning and decided to stay away from the river promising Missy that she could have a swim at Slufters pond in the afternoon.
As we started our walk at Slufters pond we heard a car toot and turned round to see that Bob, Gill and Dora were just arriving so we all walked together. We walked down to the pond and let the dogs have a quick dip before we walked over the heather. It was pleasantly warm with just enough breeze to keep us cool. We found a shady tree and sat for a while before continuing back to the pond. A solitary Roe deer skipped through the heather but the dogs were all too busy sniffing round the rabbit holes to notice. We sat by the pond for a while watching the dogs play in the water......or in Dora's case digging in the mud!
