Today we spent exploring Castle Howard. This is where they filmed Brideshead revisited and so it seemed familiar. It is a beautiful house set in wonderful grounds and we had a beautiful day there.
One of the guides told us the story of how Mr Howard went to battersea Dogs Home to rescue a dog. He chose a rather boisterous Golden Retriever and was asked if he was sure he had a garden big enough for the dog to play in!
