Eden Camp and Elvington Airfield.

We started with a short walk around Malton
Today we spent most of our time at Eden camp. This was a prisoner of war camp in WW2 and has now been turned into a museum. There are about 30 Huts all with different exhibits showing different aspects of the war. It is cleverly done with sound effects and smoke.. The dogs had many admirers as they munched on their bones outside.
We finished the day with a visit to Elvington Airfield another museum but it may be the airfield from which Mattie's father flew in the war, so he was pleased to see the runway and control tower had been restored as well as looking at the various aircraft
