Its very cold in the Forest.

It has been a very cold day , even though the sun was out. We walked at Canadian cross but we stayed away from the pond as it was probably iced up. Whilst the wind was very cold once you got down by the river we were sheltered from the worst of it and at times we were pleasntly warm, but once we came back up the hill we soon felt the cold again. The dogs were happy chasing squirrels, bunnies and each other and they were happy to paddle in the river. Missy had a small operation on her eye this week and she missed walking in the forest for two days so she had plenty of energy to play chase with Dora. She and Dora never tire of chasing each other and Gill and I just have to dodge out of their way as they do not care if they knock us over. At least in this cold weather we are well padded! As we came back to the carpark we met a small herd of cows with three little calves.they looked very cute especially the one with the black and white face.
