At last a little bit of sun!

About 10 O clock we saw alittle bit of sun in the sky and so we deided to take the dogs for a walk. By the time we got to the Canadian Cross, the sun had disappeared but there was very little wind and so it felt warmer than it has done. We walked down through the enclosure, along the river and then up to the pond.
We didn't see any deer today but as we got near to the pond the sun came out. We had some good reflections in the pond.
At the end of the walk we went down and had a look at the Canadian Cross. The Cross was used as a place of worship for the Canadian soldiers who were camped in the forest during WW2. Wreaths are laid throughout the year by Visitors whocome to remember loved ones who died in the war.The cross has a little wooden barrier around it so that the tributes and flowers are not eaten by the ponies.
As we drove home it started to drizzle so we chose the best part of the day to enjoy our forest walk.

Beautiful as always Mary. One day I SHALL come to visit your forest. And who knows - this might come true already this summer. We have been talking about a trip to England, me, Terja and Marta.
