Slufter Enclosure.

The forestry commission have been doing a lot of work in this area. Firstly they are removing most of the pine trees and returning the forest to native species such as oak, beech and birch. However they are also trying to return parts of the forest back to bog.So they have been removing the drainage channels. They have also taken down the enclosure fences down allowing the ponies into the enclosure.
It is still dull and grey here but at least it wa dry even if the paths were very muddy. Fortunately mud doesn't show that much on black dogs!
Raffles raced off here, maybe he saw some deer but when he came back we noticed he was limping a little bit so he will have to have a few shorter walks this week.
