Cold Dreary February

February has seen a return of the cold dreary weather. We have had the odd flake or two of snow but nothing to settle. The cold seems to seep into the bones. There is no sun to warm us, no rain to complain about, just cold grey skies. There have been reports on the news about the water shortages in the SE of England and as we walked round the pond today we could see how low the level was. I wonder how in warmer drier countries they manage their water supplies so much better than we here in England.
There was a thin layer of floating ice onthe pond and it was interesting to look at the reflections of the trees broken up and distorted by the ice.No one else was about and Missy was able to enjoy some time playing ball off the lead as her season has nearly finished.
At least it is warm here indoors with a cup of tea!
