Another day goes by.

It was very sunny this morning and the dogs enjoyed a short walk at Busketts. I pottered in the garden for a little while and then drove up into the forest to meet Gill at the Canadian Cross. It had clouded over and as we walked we heard several claps of thunder. As we walked down to the river a Forestry commission Van stopped and reminded us to keep an eye on the dogs as the fawns are due. We stopped and sat on a log by the river and a short shower came and went, before we moved on. It was very smokey as the forestry commission were burning some waste timber in the distance. It was also very muggy. As we started up the hill towards the pond we saw an adder basking on the path. By the time we had made sure the dogs were all past it had slithered into the undergrowth so no photo.( Safety of the dogs comes before photos) As I drove home from the forest I drove through a heavy thunderstorm but by the timeI reched home it was dry again. Now I can hear thunder again so maybe we will get some rain on the garden.
