Another Sunny day!
Well the rain that was forecast didn't arrive and it was another beautiful day.We walked from Slufters pond this afternoon, but because the Forestry Commission have been complaining about our usual parking spot we parked a little further down the road. This meant we had to find a new route down to the pond through the heather. Well heather can hide a lot of things and all of a sudden my foot went down in a deep hidden ditch. So I got a wet foot! As we walked we saw two lapwings who were obviously nesting as they were performing all sorts of aerobatics to lure us away from their nest.it was beautiful to watch but they were to fast for the camera! We saw another group of deer resting under a tree. Gradually they stood up and eventually skipped off out of our way. Missy and Dora had their usual fun and games and Gill and I had to keep out of their way. It is very open at Slufters pond and they get up a great speed as they chase each other, unfortunately they don't look where they are going and we have to be very careful to keep them in view as they do not care if we end up on the ground.
