Val in Australia is reading The Forest by Edward Rutherfurd and I said I would post some pictures. The Rufus Stone and the story of Sir Walter Tyrell occur near the begining of the story. A triangular stone marks the traditional spot where Wale is supposed to have killed the King, whether accidentally or by design will never be known for sure. Near to the stone is a pub named the Sir Walter Tyrell.
These photos were taken in May 2004 when we had some sun.
It is still cool wet and very windy in the forest not a bit likespring.
When Val updates her book review on her site I will try and add some more pictures to illustrate the story for her.
