Whats in the Garden and a Walk at Bratley View.

Today is warm but overcast.
First some photos of the garden. This year we remodelled the garden and made mostly gravel flower beds. It will take a while to settle in but here is what I found to look at today. The early flowering Clematis are in bloom and soon the fences will be hidden beneath them. The pinks are just starting to flower with their beautiful perfume. The Love lies bleeding is flowering with its stems of pretty heart shaped flowers. The House leeks are beginning to settle in to the gravel and will hopefully start to spread. I have three different types. In the tubs the Petunias and Busy Lizzies are beginning to flower. Now all I have to do is control the occasional outbreaks of pestus flatcoatus that tend to inflict some damage from time to time.
This afternoon we walked at Bratley View and I showed John one of the new walks we have found to do. We saw several groups of deer and foals and we enjoyed looking at the primroses and Violets by the stream . We found some pretty Stitchwort flowers as well. Most of the trees are in full leaf now and at this time of year the new growth is so fresh and green!

There's nothing more beautiful than an English garden. I hope when things are in full bloom, you'll let us have a look at the overall result. Lovely pictures!
