A little overcast today but warm and occasionally the sun came out. We walked at bratley View this afternoon. Missy found a nearly complete deer skeleton (Missing the leg she had the other day) but we managed to get it away from her and continued on our walk. We really like this walk as it is so varied. We walk by the stram , through the beech and oak woods and out in the open. We usually see deer and sometimes Buzzards flying over head and there are plenty of foals about now, ranging in age from the very newborn to those that are now several weeks old.
On my way home I stopped at Cadmans pond..still no goslings or ducklings but there was a cute looking Mandarin Duck .

Out here, there are a lot of new, and not so new, goselings and ducklings. It's amazing because the different groups of them, born at different times, represent different stages in their growth. There are some geese that are loosing their fuzz now and others that are just able to hop around. There is this great family of ducks around--tiny ducklings, bold little things that dart around on the water--unfortunately, the swans don't quite take well to being ganged up on by half a dozen of them.
