Getting Hotter.

Another very warm day. The dogs spent most of the day lying on the cool kitchen floor, but came allive for an evening forest walk. Early in th afternoon I watched a butterfly feeding on the lavender in the garden and whilst we were in the forest we spent a while watching the damselflies as they flitted over the stream.

I lived in England (Hampshire County) for 4 years and made many trips to the New Forest--thanks for reminding me of this special place once again.

It is hot where you are too! We are melting here this week--just shy of 100 degrees (36c)and humid. The dogs & cats have each found a cool corner to loll in. The honeybees are hot enough to hang on the outside of their hives. Your garden photos actually make me feel cool. I find the insects adore extreme heat, lots of insect activity in the gardens here, too. I like that. Keep cool!
