We have a small pebble pool in the garden and it often attracts the birds. Here a juvenile Blackbird whose feathers are just beginning to change colours, and a house sparrow take it in turns to drink and enjoy the cool spray.I often watch their antics through the kitchen window but tonight I sat quietly on the grass and snapped away.

they are adorable - how close did they let you sit near them or did you use zoom?
I was about 10 feet away and I was using my zoom. But they were so tame .Not at all bothered by my being there.
