Missy and Taivas have a walk at Kings Hat.

This morning we went for a walk at Kings Hat. We started off by crossing the Beaulieu River and then walking up the little hill to the big green. After wandering along the green we made our way down towards the river again.It is a long time since I did this walk and I was a little surprised when we got to the bottom of the hill to find a dry stream bed. It didn't look big enough to be the Beaulieu River.Well we crossed the stream and headed for the trees startling a few deer on the way. When we got to the trees we eventually found the River but it was a little marshy so we made our way out, stopping to take a couple of pictures in the makeshift shelter, on the way. Not sure how we did it but soon we were back at the little dry stream bed again! Well we chose a way to go and we did make it back to the car , crossing the River by the same bridge that we started from. We never did find the other bridge over the River but we had a lovely walk. As we got in the car the sky looked very black and we had a little rain, but by the time we got home the sun was shining.
