A cold and Frosty Morning.

We had our first heavy frost of the winter this morning. We walked from High Corner Inn. This inn dates back to the 17th century (although it has been extended several times since then) it is hidden down a long forest track in a beautiful location. Although there was a thick frost, the sun was shining and we were warm as we walked through the inclosures and across the heathland. There is a pretty little stream called Dockens water and when we mislaid the route we found ourselves by another stream, the Latchmore Brook. This slight detour added a couple of miles onto our walk, but it was such a beautiful day we did not mind. Eventually we found our way back to the Inn after walking for 4 hours.
