This building is the only surviving one in this area , left over from WW2, when the forest housed many troops. Our walk nook told us that the Famous Bouncing Bomb invented by Barnes Wallace was tested here. In the 1970s enough remnants were found in the area to make a replica, Over 400 bomb craters wer seen in an ariel survey in 1946..a reminder of the part the Foret played in the war.
