Magical Winter wonderland

When I went to bed last night it was very foggy. The forecast was for the fog to be around most of today, so it was a big surprise to wake up to hazy skies and sunshine. As we drove to the forest (Pigbush was our starting car park) we could see the heavy hoar frost had left the trees coated in white. We don't often get hoar frosts and it was so pretty , an early white Christmas!
As we walked ,we enjoyed the warming rays of the sun and at the sametime our fingers were tingling from the cold Once we got near to the trees we watched the ice breaking off sending little showers of ice to the ground like minature snow storms. The leaves crackled beneath our feet.. we were walking in an enchanted forest.
