A walk from The canadian Cross

We started our walk this morning at the Canadian Cross, we walked through the inclosure, and down to Highland Water, after the dogs had a paddle we crossed the stream and walked up the hill until we reached Murray's Passage. The passage is named after a local gentleman who fell from his horse and was killed, while riding to the hounds. (Sometimes it seems the Fox scores a victory!)The passage takes us down and up the valley between and then at the other side is Andrews Mare, pond. This is one of Missy's favourite places and we stopped for a while to let her have a good swim. It was then down another gentle hill to the stream and then back up until we came to the pond at the top of Mogshade Hill. here we found this cute little calf in his woolly winter coat. There were cattle here of all colours and sizes today. Just before we got back to the car we passed another very small pond with three mallard Drakes and a single female.
