This afternoon we went back to the Lower Test Nature Reserve, The two screens were devoid of birds, but on the boardwalk we saw a pretty red Admiral Butterfly. Just as we got to the hide , the heavens opened and we heard the Thunder. For a while we sat and watched to distant egrets in the pouring rain and we began to think we would not see much, but all of a sudden there was a flash of blue as a kingfisher appeared and then a Heron came in. This was our best afternoon yet!
