Deep Cove

Our first day in Vancouver was beautiful and sunny. The temperature was in the high 20's and I had to buy a sun hat.
Once just a community of summer cottages, the beautiful little village of Deep Cove is a hidden treasure at the entrance to Indian Arm, off Burrard Inlet on the North shore of Vancouver.
We had a speed boat and stopped here for lunch it was very pretty.
Getting to deep Cove was quite scary as I am not used to boats and the water was quite choppy as we went up the Burrard Inlet, especially when some of the big boats sped past. However it was well worth the trip as the cove was so pretty. It was very busy with sailing boats and canoes, we tied up and spent a couple of hours just admiring the view and having lunch before we returned. It did not seem so choppy on the way back and I allowed Mattie to go a lot faster. At one point we were in very shallow water and nearly ran aground!

Nice to see you back, Mary. Looking forward to seeing some great photos.

Me, I just love boats and the water. Only had a shot in a speed boat once - exhilarating.
